Why wait until Christmas to bake these yummy recipes from Jake Young? Jake is a restaurant school graduate from Johnson and Wales. That might explain the amounts of the ingredients. So, divide the recipe, make it all and freeze part of the dough or bake it all and invite me over.

Recipe Everything Cookies

Makes 10-12 dozen drop cookies

1 dozen eggs

1 lb butter

2 lbs brown sugar

1 lb white sugar

2 tsp vanilla

18 C instant Oatmeal (or 1 large tub container)

1 tsp baking soda

3 lbs peanut butter

1 1/2 lb chocolate chips

1 lb M&Ms

1 lb Butterscotch chips

Mix the first 5 ingredients until well blended and the batter is light and fluffy. Add in the remaining ingredients and mix until fully blended. Spoon onto non-stick or greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Easy Snickerdoodles from Rebekah Salomon

1 box yellow cake mix
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar

2 tsp. cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. In medium bowl, combine vanilla, cake mix, oil and eggs. 
Stir until well blended.

3. In shallow bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.

4. Form dough into 1-inch balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture.

5. Place on baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cookies are set and lightly browned.
